Tim says…

“I have lived nearly all of my life in Shropshire, growing up and being educated in the lovely village of Pontesbury, near Shrewsbury. I served my apprenticeship at Rolls Royce in Shrewsbury and I have worked in the engineering industry, mostly within the county, ever since.

Tim in a thoughtful mood

I always enjoyed a good pint and began to feel the urge to turn my hobby into a career. I was pursuing various options, when Nev offered me the opportunity to become a brewer at the Six bells Brewery. After careful consideration (about 2 minutes), I accepted. I started work with the team in 2006 and, after completing a course in brewing at Sunderland University, I commenced brewing.

Not only am I passionate about traditional ales, but I am also fanatical about single malt whiskies. We have talked about the possibility of distilling, watch this space…”
